This is my story, Jason (Dublin) My Initial Enquiry: On the 10/11/08 I sent Dental1Holidays the following email: I have front crooked teeth, top and bottom, and I feel so insecure about it, I feel ashamed to open my mouth or to talk to people, I can't smile or laugh at anything, because I feel that people will see my teeth and say things about me, I haven't got a life because of it. I am only 20 years and all I do is stay in my house all day, and I feel it is time I go out and live my life, talk, smile and laugh in front of people, and not have to worry about what they think. I would like to take my crooked teeth out, and replace them with screw in teeth. I don't want to try braces because I would feel more ashamed to do anything, I would rather if you could just take them out and replace them with new teeth, and I would be so happy and appreciative. Dental1Holidays telephoned me on the 11/11/08 to discuss my dental problems and the smile I wished to achieve. I reiterated my dental problems and the emotional anguish it was causing me. In relation to my dental treatment, on my first telephone consultation Dental1Holidays recommended 10 metal based crowns, which would sit over the top of my existing teeth. They explained to me I would be able to choose the design, style and colour of my new teeth. I was happy with the price quoted and requested that Dental1Holidays put together a Holiday PackageEand associated costings. Dental1Holidays sourced my Father (Gearad) and my holiday package, which included return flights from Dublin to Dalaman, Airport transfers and 10 nights hotel accommodation. Once my family and I reviewed the package offered to us, we were happy to book as soon as possible as I wanted my New Smile for the New YearE Dental1Holidays booked me in with their Dentist Dr. Cagatay Aras for my initial consultation on the 25/11/08. Below is a photo of myself and my Father outside Dr. Cagatay Arass surgery in Fethiye: My Initial Visit with the Dentist Surprisingly, I was not at all nervous during my initial visit with the dentist. In fact, I was quite the opposite, excited and keen to sit in the dentists chair for the treatment to commence. On my first visit, I had 8 teeth extracted, which took 20 minutes. I felt no discomfort and the Dentist commented on the fact that I was a Perfect PatientE Valerie (My Dental1Holidays representative) informed my Father, Gearad that there is a Turkish Tooth FairyE which pays 1 Turkish Lira per tooth. They both laughed and my Father said he was more than happy to pay. Below is a photo of me in the dentist chair: Following my visit to the dentist, I was advised to obtain antibiotics, pain killers and sterile mouth wash as a precautionary measure. Valerie escorted my Father and myself to the chemist for my prescribed medication. After I obtained my prescription, Valerie took us back to our hotel where I was advised to rest for the day and use the prescribed mouth wash as many times as possible. My Second Visit to the Dentist The following day, Valerie collected us from our hotel and took us back the Dentist. Dr. Cagatay Aras talked me through my treatment for that day. I felt confident in his hands and at ease at the fact everything was explained to me. The dentist filed down my remaining teeth and took dental impressions so my new bridges/ teeth could be created. Once again, I felt no pain and was comfortable throughout the dental procedures. My Third Visit to the Dentist This was a fun yet short visit, where I got to choose the colour and design of my new teeth. I felt happy and relaxed. Valerie asked me which colour I wanted, and I said, I am not bothered, as long as I have a nice smileE Together we choose, 1M2, the second whitest shade. My Holiday As the laboratory was busy creating my new teeth, Valerie planned a fishing trip for us. We did not catch anything but a good time was had by all. That evening my Father and myself went for dinner along the harbour and had a fabulous meal. The next two days were spent chilling out, walking around the town, eating the local food, my Father loved the local beer EfesEhe thought it tasted similar to Tennants. My Fourth Visit to the Dentist Valerie met us at our hotel, as it was a beautiful day, we all decided to walk to the dentist (which took 10 minutes), next to the harbour. On this visit, Dr. Cagatay Aras retook my dental impressions, as my gums had started to heal. My Fifth Visit to the Dentist In the morning, I had my new teeth adjusted to fit, before they were sent away for polishing. I did not get to see my new teeth, as Dr. Cagatay Aras said he wanted me to see them when they were perfect. I accepted this, as I had no reason to doubt him. As my teeth were being polished we went for a coffee, and returned two hours later. I sat in the dentists chair for the final time, where my new teeth were fitted. Once fitted Dr. Cagatay gave me the mirror and I was speechless. I did not know whether to cry (with delight) or smile! At that moment, Valerie called my Father into the surgery, and asked what he thought. It was at that moment, I decided to smile!! And my Father smiled with me. Below is a photo of me with my new Smile: Below are photo's of my with Dr. Cagatay Aras after treatment and saying goodbye: Dinner at the Fish Market We went for dinner to the famous fish market in Fethiye with Valerie. We sampled Octopus, King Prawns, Snow Crab, Calamari, Sea Bass and Sword Fish…there was enough to feed a small army, but we polished it off!! Below is a photo of my Father and myself at the famous fish market: Returning Home In the morning we bought chocolates and wine for Valerie and the Team in the Dental1Holidays office as a token of our appreciation. I told Valerie at the airport ‘I feel like this is a new beginning for me’ Below is a photo of my Father and myself saying goodbye 'although we fully intend to come back very soon' Overall Opinion All in all, a fantastic experience, a fabulous dentist, and I feel I choose a terrific company in Dental1Holidays. I would recommend Dental1Holidays to anyone who requires any type of dental treatment. Valerie was like a second Mother to me. My sister will soon be planning her own trip for her dental treatment. I have recently lost a bridge exsisting of two teeth, my gums had an infection , therefore the tooth supporting the bridge broke and the bridge fell out. To my horror when I returned to my dentist , I was told to replace the bridge it would cost between £1100.00 - £1600.00!. I am absolutely delighted with the excellent service I received form start to finish from "Dental1Holidays" , Organising flights, transfers, dental appointments, hotel room etc.. Was no trouble at all for this first-rate company. Hi, I'm John. I'm 67 years old and due to some very painful experiences in my 20’s have not been near a dentist until very recently. My teeth had become a mess and it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat and my teeth looked awful. John Please Note: Should you wish to contact John directly, he has given Dental1Holidays permission for us to pass on his contact details. Please ask for further information.
